WHO IT'S FOR

Less a game than a conversation starter. A ten-minute piece built to sharpen how people think about AI — to raise literacy about where the machine genuinely helps and where it can't. The point isn't that AI is good or bad. It's the line between a task and a role — and who has to be answerable when it actually matters.
TEENAGERS

DECISION-MAKERS
who confuse can-do with should-own
The machine does the tasks.
You hold the role.
One stamp decides which is which.

THE VIBE

A satirical sitcom in game form. Deadpan office comedy — think The Office: the content screams, the tone whispers. It states the absurd thing flat and lets you catch it. Generational friction and social-media psychosis, skewered without picking on people — it punches at the gap, never the person.

SHORT

A short, free art experiment about where AI helps and where it can't. One verb: stamp every work request SELF or AI. The machine does the tasks; a human holds the role. Made openly with AI as a tool — that tension is the whole point. One sitting. No cost, no catch.
The thesis, in one request. The machine offers to sign for you — and admits it can't be held responsible for anything. A signature was never a task.

WHAT THIS IS THE GAME

TASK ≠ ROLE is a short, free art experiment in the shape of a game: a deadpan office satire with one argument underneath it — AI replaces tasks, not roles. You play it in a single sitting. It's text-and-decisions, not an epic, and that's the form the idea wanted.
You have one job, and it is one button. Every request that lands on your desk gets a stamp: SELF (you do it) or AI (the machine does it). Transcribe a meeting, resize 300 icons, run spell-check? Let the machine — those are tasks. Name the company, set the price, lay off thirty people, sign your name? That's a role, and a role is yours. Drop your FAITH or your TRUST to zero and you're out a job.
Ten days at a studio that mistook one for the other. The machine gets articulate, the boss starts “optimizing,” roles arrive disguised as tasks, and the work follows you home. Every stamp gets a consequence and a footnote — the jokes are the game.
One stamp, one consequence, one footnote. Make the toast yourself. The machine can phrase it; it can never mean it. That was always the line.

WHAT'S IN IT

WHY IT'S FREE

No cost. No in-app purchases. No ads, no data-harvesting, no “free-to-start” trap — there is nothing else to buy, ever. It's free for a simple, honest reason: it's short, and it didn't take long to build. The point was never to sell you something — it was to share the idea and the argument behind it. If it makes you think, or laugh, that's the whole transaction.

AI DISCLOSURE

The development of this game involved the use of generative AI tools. Under human direction, AI assisted in generating source code and written text (dialogue and descriptions), which were then selected, edited, arranged, and approved by a human author. All creative decisions, structure, and final authorship are human. No AI-generated content is produced live at runtime; everything in the game is fixed, human-reviewed content created during development.
The closing payload. Fast, free, fluent — and empty. It takes your tasks; it can never take your role.
It started as a build that wouldn't compile and an argument
about what AI is actually for. This is the residue.
